iPhone 6 batteries exploding

I'm not sure what's going on but I suspect the factory-installed battery in the iPhone 6 is starting to fail after 2 years on the market.  The life expectancy of a factory-installed battery is about 2 years for the typical user so it's no surprise that these batteries are failing.  The concerning part about all of this is the WAY they are failing.  Most batteries just loose their ability to hold a charge.  These batteries are expanding which causes the screen to lift off of its frame.  And if the battery expands to the point where the outer surface is torn, the lithium can explode and easily catch fire.

If you have an iPhone 6 and have had it for more than a year, bring it to Digital Doc and we will inspect your battery at no charge (no pun intended).
