Snow damage your phone?

After our first snow storm of the season, 3 phones came into our store the next day - all with damage from moisture.

We were able to save two of them using our water treatment process.  One customer had waited too long to bring his phone in.  A bit more about our water treatment process:

1. phone connectors inside the phone corrode very quickly.  The connectors often contain gold and other easy-to-corrode metals.  Electrical current through the metal stimulates the corrosion process.

2. If you get your phone wet, DO NOT try and charge it.  Putting it on a charger is like plugging a water balloon into an electrical outlet.  You may have taken a hair dryer to it or put it in rice but there are many little compartments inside the phone that are very good at storing water indefinitely.

3. Get the phone to us ASAP.  If we can get it the next day, odds of fixing it are 90+%.  If it's been a week, it's around 50%.

4. While you at the store, ask about our water rescue bag - a specially designed bag made to store the phone until you can get it to us.  Worth every penny.
